Welcome to Stonehenge North Wood Designs I bought my first power tool in 1972--the second year of my teaching career. I still remember it--a no frills, 1/4" Black and Decker Drill from Woolco Department Store in Pasadena, TX. I paid $7.77 and I still have it. Shortly after that, I bought a saber saw from Sears and built all manner of shelves, boxes, and bookshelves with those two tools. So, I guess I can say I have been working with wood for the past 30 years. Along the way, I have added stained glass, glass etching, gardening/canning, beer and sausage making, furniture design, landscaping, outdoor structures, and a few other related skills to my list of passions.
